Troop 841 - Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to common questions about Troop 841 meetings, membership, costs, uniforms, safety, and parent involvement.

When and where does Troop 841 meet?

We meet Mondays at 7:00 PM at Lincoln Community Center, 123 Main St. Special events and weekend outings are scheduled separately and communicated in advance.

Who can join Troop 841?

Any youth aged 11–17 who has completed Cub Scouts or is new to Scouting is welcome. New members complete a registration form and provide emergency contact information at signup.

What are the costs to participate?

Costs include annual BSA membership dues, troop dues for materials and regular activities, and fees for specific trips. Financial assistance is available—please speak with troop leadership for details.

What uniform is required?

Scouts should wear the official BSA uniform shirt with Troop 841 patches. For activities, appropriate footwear and weather gear (hiking boots, rain jacket) may be required and will be listed on event notices.

How does Troop 841 ensure safety?

All adult volunteers are background-checked and trained. We follow BSA safety policies, maintain two-deep leadership on outings, and conduct safety briefings before activities.

How can parents get involved?

Parents are encouraged to volunteer as leaders, help plan and run events, provide transportation for outings, and participate in the troop committee. Contact the troop committee to learn how to help.
